I repeat: stop copying others if it’s not what your audience is here for! Stick to your zone of genius, take other inspiration and mold it to fit you and what you can offer.
3. Create a calendar.
Again this is all about accountability and actually showing up! I have a free content Cal template you can use to plug in all your ideas, write out captions, and hold yourself to showing up.
5. Write out all shot lists.
Planning is going to be your biggest asset. Plan everything down to the details as “shot 1-10” if you need. The more planning, the more confidence we build.
4. Book in 1-2 days of filming or designing.
Get it allll out of the way. We book a 4 hour session to film enough content for the month. THEN we sit down to map out what needs designs, more editing etc. Your planning is now kicking in and your have steps to success the creation aspect!
5. Focus on quality and consistency.
Period. take yourself out of your shoes as ask yourself if this is ACTUALLY providing value to the people watching. Does it even make sense to someone that is outside of your world?
6. Schedule your posts (and story ideas).
Meta / Later / Planoly / Metricool — they all can be set up to automate.
Also !! Schedule showing up on stories like you’re going to a meeting with a client. It’s important.
7. Show up and follow through !!
Annnnd this is where we lose folks. Show up like it’s your job. Cause it is 🙂
8. Analyze what worked and repeat.
Make things easier on yourself and repurpose repurpose repurpose. Look at what worked the best and see where you can expand on that or re use in a different way.
